Details

A memory of an old barbershop in Morocco, where the scent of aromatic oils and soaps lingers in the air. A childhood memory of when a father took his little boy to a barber. It was a completely new experience, incomparable to European hair salons. A memory that hasn't faded over decades and has been composed into an olfactory time capsule in Le Barbier de Tanger! Le Barbier de Tanger is a 'retro' green-fougère and vetiver fragrance, created by Anne-Sophie Behaghel.

Scent Description

A sophisticated barbershop fragrance that opens with fresh citrus notes of lemon, bergamot, and mandarin, enhanced by aromatic basil and cardamom. The heart reveals a green accord of galbanum and petitgrain, complemented by lavender and subtle fruity notes of pineapple and apple. The base is grounded in classic oakmoss, woody notes, amber, patchouli, and vetiver, creating a refined masculine signature.

The Golden-Handed Barber: MDCI's Luxurious Take on Tradition
Le Barbier de Tanger emerges as a refined interpretation of the classic barbershop genre, earning respect from fragrance enthusiasts for its sophisticated execution despite its familiar territory. This MDCI creation masterfully balances fresh citrus, aromatic herbs, and a clean fougère base, delivering a scent that's both timeless and professionally polished. The community particularly appreciates its streamlined luxury approach - soapy without being powdery, masculine without arrogance, and classic without feeling dated. While some note its similarity to established barbershop scents like Egoiste Platinum, they acknowledge its superior refinement and quality. The main critique centers on its premium pricing, though many argue the exceptional blending justifies the investment. With moderate sillage and 7-hour longevity, it's a versatile choice for business and daily wear, especially in spring and summer.
