Caroline Sabas
Caroline Sabas is a senior perfumer at Givaudan, born in Cannes and raised in Grasse, France - the heartland of perfumery. Growing up surrounded by the scents of jasmine, rose, and mimosa, Sabas developed a passion for fragrance at a young age. She studied at ISIPCA in Versailles and completed an apprenticeship at Chanel before moving to New York, where she has been working for Givaudan for over 15 years. Sabas is known for her versatility, creating fragrances across various categories including fine fragrances, celebrity scents, and niche perfumes. Her style often incorporates cozy, warm notes and nature-inspired elements. Notable creations include Etat Libre d'Orange's 'You or Someone Like You', Narciso Rodriguez's 'Oud Musc', and The Maker's 'Dream'. Sabas finds inspiration in music, food, nature, and her emotional experiences, often using ingredients like vetiver, ambrettolide, and amber in her compositions.
