Hamid Merati-Kashani is a renowned perfumer with over 30 years of experience in the fragrance industry. Born in Germany to an Iranian father and German mother, he was raised in Isfahan, Iran until 1979. This multicultural background deeply influences his work, blending Iranian luxury and German precision. Merati-Kashani joined Firmenich in 1995 and is currently a Principal Perfumer based in Dubai. His signature style involves overdosing ingredients to create strong, long-lasting fragrances. He has created scents for major brands like Carolina Herrera, Jean-Paul Gaultier, and Yves Saint Laurent, as well as niche brands such as Parfums de Marly and Fragrance du Bois. Merati-Kashani is particularly known for his work with rose notes, inspired by his childhood memories of Iranian rose fields.
