Julien Rasquinet
Julien Rasquinet is a French perfumer whose career began with a chance encounter between his father and renowned perfumer Pierre Bourdon. Despite lacking formal training, Rasquinet became Bourdon's last apprentice, learning the art of perfumery through an intensive three-year mentorship. His style is deeply personal, often drawing inspiration from his own memories, travels, and cultural experiences. Rasquinet's work is characterized by a blend of traditional techniques and innovative approaches, with a particular affinity for Oriental notes developed during his time in Dubai. He has created fragrances for prestigious brands such as Creed, Amouage, and Frédéric Malle. Notable creations include Creed's Royal Oud, Frédéric Malle's The Moon, and Amouage's Incense Rori Attar. Rasquinet's fragrances are known for their narrative quality, often telling stories through scent. In 2023, he joined CPL Aromas as a Senior Perfumer, continuing to innovate in the fragrance industry.
