Luca Maffei

Luca Maffei is a prominent Italian perfumer born in 1985. Growing up in a family involved in the fragrance industry, he was exposed to perfumery from an early age. After studying economics, Maffei trained in Grasse under Françoise Marin, former director of the Roure perfumery school. He made his debut in 2007 and founded Atelier Fragranze Milano in 2011. Maffei's style is characterized by a harmonious balance between emotion and rationality, often drawing inspiration from his Italian roots. He is known for his work with niche brands and his innovative use of both natural and synthetic ingredients. In 2015, his creation 'Black Pepper & Sandalwood' for Acca Kappa won the Art and Olfaction Award. Maffei has also received recognition for fragrances such as 'Cuoio Nobile' for Pineider and 'Néa' for JUL ET MAD Paris.
