Théo Belmas

Théo Belmas is a French perfumer born and based in France. He holds a bachelor's degree in molecular chemistry and a master's degree in perfumery. Belmas began his career with an apprenticeship in Grasse, followed by work at Concept Aromatique. Currently, he works as a perfumer at Symrise. In January 2023, Belmas became the new creator for Pigmentarium fragrances. His style is characterized by a fondness for amber and oriental structures, with a focus on powerful and strong notes. Belmas cites Sophia Grojsman, Dominique Ropion, and Maurice Roucel as his biggest inspirations. He is known for his work with ingredients like cardamom, olibanum, and sandalwood. Belmas created the fragrance 'Oratorio' for Pigmentarium, inspired by his visit to Prague. He also contributed to the development of Symrise's Geranium Madagascar and participated in creating a new de Laire base called Patchouli Minéral.
