Hamid Merati-Kashani is a renowned perfumer with a rich multicultural background, born in Germany to an Iranian father and a German mother. His early life in Iran, particularly in the city of Isfahan famous for its rose fields, significantly influenced his passion for perfumery. This comprehensive training laid the foundation for his successful career, which spans over 34 years and includes roles such as Principal Perfumer at Firmenich. His expertise has contributed to the creation of fragrances for notable brands like Carolina Herrera, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Valentino, and Yves Saint Laurent, among others.
Living in Dubai for 12 years has allowed Merati-Kashani to delve into niche fragrances, which offer greater creative freedom and the opportunity to use unique ingredients. His work in the Middle East has also exposed him to a market that values bespoke and exclusive fragrances, further enriching his professional experience.
